The things to know before you connect your first router.
Which routers are supported?
NetStack currently supports MikroTik running RouterOS 7. Omada, UniFi and Huawei support is planned, but is not available yet.
Do I need a public IP or port forwarding?
No. Your router makes an outbound connection over your existing internet line every minute. You don’t need to open inbound ports or change your internet provider.
Is Mobile Money collection available now?
Not yet. Automatic MTN MoMo and Orange Money collection is in development and requires a live merchant account. Today, you sell vouchers over the counter while NetStack manages the codes.
What happens if the connection drops?
Vouchers already stored on the router retain their time and data limits if it cannot reach the billing service. New voucher syncing pauses until the connection returns. An internet outage still interrupts internet access.
What happens if I stop my subscription?
You can still view your data, but you cannot issue new codes. Vouchers your customers already hold continue working until they expire.
Is my account separate from other operators?
Yes. Each operator’s records are scoped to their own account, keeping your business data separate from other operators.
